Since time was limited today I chose the Joya de Havana figurado #2 from Cuban Stock Cigars as my before work smoke because of its smaller size and my time constraints. The Joya de Havana, which translates into “the joy of Havana”, is crafted from three year aged Cuban seed tobaccos that are grown in the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Honduras. The Cuban Stock factory was established in 1995 and it is located in the Dominican Republic.

- This cigar was in stark contrast to the 6 x 60 monster from my last review, and you would never know they were crafted from the same tobacco blends. The figurado had the same perfect cold draw, the same honey sweet taste to the wrapper and the same very crisp burn line as the gigante, but that is where the similarities ended.
Construction of this cigar was again nearly flawless, other than a small wrapper wrinkle at the foot of the cigar. The flavor profile was nice; the cigar started and finished with a nice full bodied mix of earth, oak and tobacco, but the wrapper played a large role in the flavor mix. Since the cigar was a much smaller ring size, the notes of sweet honey found in the wrapper joined the filler flavors and added a nice touch of honey-like-sweetness to the entire length of the cigar.
With a smoking time around 40 minutes, and the great flavor mix, this figurado from Cuban Stock Cigars would make a great after lunch cigar. I give this stick a top drawer, 93 rating!
